In this post I will feature my
“current favorite things” these are things I am “loving” now. I want to
share them with you! Everything on this list are tried and tested by me, I
hope you will discover something you’ll love too! I’ve always loved Oprah’s
list of Favorite Things so I made up my own list below:
1. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer-
I’ve been using this moisturizer for the past 15 years! One big bottle will
last around six months. You don’t have to use a lot, one pump is enough to
cover the entire face. It can really moisturize my face without it feeling too
heavy or oily. I use it immediately after I step out of the shower and it sinks
in almost immediately.
|
The best moisturizer for me! If you have relatives abroad ask them to buy for you there. They cost half the price abroad than how much they sell them here. |
2. St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub- I’ve
been a fan of this product for 20 years! It’s the best facial scrub there is; I
use this thrice a week. It’s non-irritating and I don’t break out when I use
it. Just make sure not to over scrub, the beads can irritate sensitive skin so
it’s best to apply gentle pressure.
|
My favorite facial scrub! It gets the job done and each tube is sold at just around P295. One big tube will last around three months! |
3. EOS Lip gloss- This is the best
all natural lipgloss that heals my dry lips and prevent chapped lips. I’ve been
using it for three years. I use EOS lipgloss many times a day. The container is
so cute and easy to use. The flavors all taste and smell great; it also works
as a great base for any lipstick. Just let it settle first and don’t apply
lipstick right away. I usually discover an amazing lipgloss and then my lips
seem to dry up after a few months of continued use, this did not happen with
the EOS lipgloss range that’s why I love all of them!
|
The best basic lipgloss out there! EOS lipgloss are super moisturizing and they nourish my lips perfectly every time I use it! |
4. Merrry Moo Sea Salt Caramel Ice Cream-
My nephew David and my niece Marielle discovered this amazing range of homemade Artisan
all-natural ice cream when we went to one of the food fairs in Quezon City.
From then on we were all hooked, the SEA SALT CARAMEL flavor stood out from the
rest of their flavors and it has been my favorite since the first time I was
given my first ever Merry Moo cup of creamy, dreamy wonderful goodness! I’ve
tasted a lot of SALTED CARAMEL ice cream there after but I keep coming back to
this! Super yummy and truly a must try!

5. DEC’s Fresh Lumpia- This is the
best fresh lumpia out there! Believe me I’ve tried them all. I am a lumpia
connoisseur! I love that they only make it when you order so the lumpia wrapper
doesn’t get all soggy and wet. They also have the perfect combination of
shredded beancurd, carrots, cabbage, green beans and shrimp. My favorite
ingredient is the HOTI, it’s made from crunchy seaweed and vermicelli. It gives
the lumpia that unexpected crunch! The brown sweet sauce that comes with it is a
perfect match! Sold at just P85 each, Yum!! Just writing about it makes my
mouth water!
|
The best fresh Chinese lumpia ever! Try it and you'll know what I'm talking about. DEC branches are located at: Wilson St, Annapolis and Binondo. |
6. MAC BOOK Pro- I’ve been using my
7 year-old iBook G4 for the past seven years! I never thought I could be a MAC
user but the first time I tried it I was hooked! MAC has made everything so
much easier for me! I recently caved and got the MacBook Pro since my iBook is
now too slow, it’s still working perfectly but it can no longer keep up with
what I need to do. I am currently loving the MacBook Pro, I know it’s a bit pricey
but if you compute it on per month usage and how it helps me in my business,
it’s truly worth the splurge.
|
The MacBook Pro for me is the best and the smartest laptop ever! |
7. Mobile Tea Press -
I never drank coffee, but surprisingly
the past years I’ve been a tea drinker. A few years back I read a whole book
about teas and how they can benefit one’s overall health and since then I was
hooked. Every time we travel I would visit groceries and buy loose leaf teas. I
prefer loose leaf tea since I can adjust the strength of my tea according to my
mood. I recently found this Mobile tea press and I love it! I can now bring my
loose-leaf stash with me anywhere I go and make a fresh cup of tea anytime I
want! The design is sleek and easy to use, cleaning it is a bit hard but it
does the job well. I now can make a fresh cup of filtered tea anywhere!
|
My mobile tea press and container! I got this at Gourdo's it's super useful and also very chic! |
8. ZARA Colored Denim Pants- These
colored pants are new wardrobe staples that I love! I can now add that pop of color
to my daily outfits and look like I bothered to dress up. I can dress them up
or down depending on my mood. These pants gave my everyday denim pants their much-needed
rest.
|
Colored pants brightened up my everyday outfits!! It adds the much needed pop of color that I was not used to, now I'm not afraid to add color into my outfits! |
9. Mango Basic knitted thin tops-
These thin knitted tops are my latest go-to top! They go well with skirts,
shorts or colored jeans. They are soft, wrinkle free, and they don’t fade even
if you wash them lots of times! Perfect for the very unpredictable weather in
Manila.
|
These thin knitted tops are so versatile you can mix and match it with just about anything in your closet! |
10. Strappy Sandals- I have terrible bunion on my feet! So most
times, I can’t wear closed shoes unless they are really soft and comfortable.
That’s why I am always on the look out for nice strappy flat sandals that I can
wear everyday. I am loving these sandals from Sewn Sandals because they are
unique, soft and comfortable to wear. They are also locally made and very
affordable at P600 to P750 per pair! Don’t you just hate it when people say
something is affordable and then when you ask them how much it is they say
P2500 or P3200!! Just a side note hehe… do check out these cool flat sandals!
|
Flat sandals are my daily " go to " shoes because they are comfy and very easy to mix and match! All these I got from SEWN SANDALS they have a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sewnsandals |
11. MY Goodiebag pens- I love to write notes and lots and lots
of lists! I am very particular about the pen that I use since I have terrible
handwriting. I came from an all girl’s school where they made sure everyone had
perfect penmanship, but I never got the hang of it though and still had my own
way of writing which I think only I can read. I know my assistant Sam hates my
handwriting because sometimes when she is out on an errand she needs to call me
to ask what I wrote down. I am working on it though but for now I need nice
pens to compensate for my “great” penmanship. I’ve been loving these MY GOODIEBAG
pens because they are not too thick and not too fine and they are similar to
gel pens. They are also made from recycled PET materials!
|
I love these pens! They never blot or skip, are made from recycled materials and every time you buy from them they give something back to public school students!! |
12. South Sea Pearl Earrings- We are very lucky to live in a
country where South Sea Pearls are available in all sizes and colors. I love
wearing pearls because they are timeless and so girly! I also read somewhere
that pearls can brighten your skin and make your teeth look whiter. Pearls can
instantly transform your look from simple to classy. I love wearing my pearls
with different outfits and I try to mix and match them with other jewelries to
give them an updated feel.
I hope you could include the prices of each item. :)
